the
shop in the old nice:
Pauline Alziari opened her first shop “rue Gubernatis” in
the 1920’s, it was only in 1936 that she opened “14 rue Saint
Francois de Paule” in an old flower shop.
Her brother Ludovic ( son of Nicolas) brought the oil down daily from
the mill to furnish iron barrels in the little shop, a tradition that
continues today.
The concept of selling olive oil that you fill up in your own bottles
arose from this period, It is a concept that we have preserved in all
the slightest details.
Unfortunately, in November 2003 a community law passed that forbid this
way of selling olive oil. This small fifty square meter universe has remained
an authentic island, untouchable by the tendencies or by the evolution
of the savors.
